Hard Rock Café Pins Collection
This client wanted a site to display his Pin collection but just wanted it hosted on Freeserve, which only supports plain HTML, this meant that Gallery was out of the question because it required PHP support. After much searching JAlbum was discovered and used to generate the photo album to display the pins. JAlbum is free java software that runs on your PC and generates HTML photo albums. The HTML for these albums can be customised in the form of templates which is what was attempted with this site. A custom template was created around the colour scheme of the Logo and all the images were resized to the same dimensions to make them more uniform when adding and displaying them.
The photographs of the pins were sorted into folders alphabetically by town/city and whenever a new pin was purchased and added to the collection the album was just regenerated with the new and changed files uploaded.
